Green tea ice cubes

Green tea is my facial favorite. With a really good amount of antioxidants, this ancient herbal tea is a perfect recipe to cure puffy eyes and facial redness. Certainly you can use the freshly brewed green tea to rinse your face to cash on the skin benefits of this miracle herb, but iced green tea cubes are even more effective on skin. It will also help heal swelling, dark circles and lessen extra fluid around the eyes. Doesn’t it make a perfect wakeup call?

Not too long ago I read an interview of Tia Mowry (TM), a popular American actress, model, producer and author, in the Huffington Post (HPS) where she talks about her personalized beauty secrets. When asked by a HPS reporter if she has any DIY beauty regime, here is what she replied,

“TM: I do! It’s ice. A makeup artist that I was working with a long time ago told me about this. You make green tea ice cubes or orange juice ice cubes or you can even just use regular ice cubes. It hydrates your skin and you’re getting those natural anti-oxidants from the tea. The cold then tightens your skin. It feels like you’ve just had a facelift! I also drink loads of water.”

A few days ago, I also read Kate Moss’s article showing how green tea ice cubes can get you flawless, gorgeous-looking skin. The very next day I woke up and started my day with a quick DIY facial using green tea ice cube; I melted one cube over my face and truly felt the skin is refreshed and tighten. I am following this beauty secret everyday NOW and this is where I got an idea to share it with you guys too!

  • Once boiled to a tea-kettle temperature, turn off the stove and add 2 tablespoon of Arthealth green tea leaves. Close the vessel for 10 minutes.
